BIS Bike Club (BBC)

2018/2019 Dates & Times Coming Soon!

Do you like bikes, or mechanics, or electronics, or just pedal power?

The BBC is an after school club (meeting dates TBD) that works on bikes, builds bike-powered machines, and develops electronic applications for our electric bike generator. We also do some riding and tinkering on our electronic bikes. Our main projects are our Recyce-Your-Bike and Adopt-A-Bike program where we take in used bikes, fix them, and give them back out to students in need of wheels. For more information, visit our main webpage

This club is open to all BIS students and staff, and to any other 4th and 5th grade students from other BSD schools.

For more information, email Rusty Hopewell at

Adult Bike Mentors Needed

We would like to encourage parents and friends with skills in bike mechanics or electronics to join us in our working on bikes and developing applications for our bike-powered electronic projects. If you have any skills in either of these fields, or want to just be part of the club to offer what you have and pick up some mechanical and/or electrical skills, please contact the Rusty Hopewell.

Please note, all volunteers must pass a Federal background check and show proof of cleared TB testing.
